fought the urge back to run away
saved a woman looked just like me
saved a groom and a bride to be
saved an old man
saved his cane
saved a senator
saved his aide

took a trip in a boat that was
carved from a woman's shoe
spent the night in a house on the banks of the sea
wonder how I can breathe in a place where the sky ain't blue
wonder who in this world gonna recognize me
who indeed?
